"Among the prerequisites of the current situation of energy determine the interest of government officials in the import of electricity from Russia, the state price restrictions, and do not reflect the real economy operation of power generation enterprises, as well as increasing the share of nuclear energy", - said M. Volynets.

According to him, today, without a reduction in the costs of labour working in the country can only work for two thermal power plants: Zaporizhzhya TPP and Kurakhovskaya that are a priority for the power system of Ukraine and which have low cost of generation of electricity.

last week the heads of the leading energy enterprises of Ukraine sent an official letter to the President Zelensky. They asked him to intervene and save one of the leading sectors of the Ukrainian economy.

"to ensure energy independence and prevent the collapse of the UPS of Ukraine, the enterprises of thermal generation of Ukraine appeal to the President, Prime Minister, and the NSDC with the request to stop the import of electricity from Russian Federation and Republic of Belarus", – the statement reads.

the Letter was signed by heads of the largest power generation companies – "Donbasenergo", "Tsentrenergo", DTEK, "Tekhnova" and others.
