PJSC "Zaporizhstal" in 2019, reduced the production of steel compared to 2018 at 2.5% to 4 million tons; reduced production of pig iron by 0.6% to 4.36 million tonnes and reduced the production of finished steel by 5.3% - to 3.35 million tons.
In December 2019 PJSC "Zaporizhstal" produced 393,9 thousand tons of iron, which is 10% more than in December 2018, but has reduced steel production by 3.9% to 330,6 thousand tons and decreased production of finished steel by 0.3% to RUB 273.3 thousand tonnes.

Previously coalsalesthat in 2019 the metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine was smelted 20,82 million tons of steel, 1.3% less than in 2018. The production of iron at the end of 2019, made up 20.05 million tons (- 2,5%); production of rolled steel decreased by 1.1% to 18.16 million tons.
At the end of 2018, Zaporizhstal increased its steel production by 4.6% to 4.1 million tonnes, cast iron — by 15.6% to 4.39 million tons, rolled products — by 10% to 3.54 million tons, compared with 2017.
In October 2019 Metinvest B. V. (Metinvest ), Rinat Akhmetov and Vadim Novinsky acquired a 47% stake in Zaporizhstal, and the company Brandfeld finance limited and Lasartico holdings limited (both — Cyprus) withdrew from the shareholders. In July 2012, Metinvest group, together with a group of investors, became owner of more than 50% of the shares in Zaporizhstal (Metinvest a 49% group of investors — 1% stock)
