the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on Thursday agreed on a draft presidential Directive, which proposes to authorize the Minister of Finance Sergey Marchenko on signing of letter amending the financial agreement with the European investment Bank for the project "Rehabilitation of hydropower".
Just since 2012 has been allocated 200 million euros of loan funds under this program. For the duration of the program, Ukrhydroenergo managed to save funds in the amount of 32.1 million euros.
"When the Minister of Finance will sign the letter on amendments, Ukrhydroenergo will be able to use the savings on the purchase of additional equipment for objects of hydro-power generation: the generator circuit breakers, high voltage disconnectors, speed controllers, valves and dirt traps for 6 stations", - said acting Minister of energy Olga Buslovich, commenting on adoption by the Cabinet of Ministers decision.
Financing additional equipment procurement through savings of EIB lending will occur simultaneously with the completion of implementation of all components of the project "Rehabilitation of hydropower".
