On September 13, 2021, half a million ton of steel was smelted at the new modern steelmaking complex DSP-70 in the electric steel-making shop of PJSC "Energomashspetsstal".
The jubilee melting was welded by the steelworkers of Igor Golovko's brigade, under the guidance of master Artem Tokar.
The first steel on DSP-70 was smelted nine years ago. The production complex, which is one of the three most modern steelmaking complexes in the world, includes an arc steelmaking furnace, an out-of-furnace steel treatment unit and a modern powerful gas cleaning system.
The value of unique equipment lies not only in production capabilities, but also in the ability to ensure the European level of environmental safety of production.
To date, the maximum weight of ingots produced at Energomashspetsstal is 415 tons. Production capabilities allow the enterprise to produce large-tonnage ingots weighing up to 500 tons.
