PJSC Severstal supported the IV scientific and practical conference with international participation "Museums in the Northern Dimension 2021", held in Petrozavodsk on October 13-14, 2021.
The conference was aimed at supporting and developing partnerships between museums North-West of the Russian Federation and support for international cooperation. The events were held at the National Museum of the Republic of Karelia and dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the museum.
The conference was attended by a wide range of representatives of state, municipal and other museums of Russia, Finland, Estonia and Sweden. At round tables, in discussions and reports, they presented the history of their museums, shared their experience and presented the best practices of current museum activities in national regions and places of residence of indigenous peoples, border areas, projects to support local communities. The experts also discussed the problems and methods of involving intangible and immovable cultural heritage in museum work.
