It is not the first year that PJSC MMK has been successfully implementing a comprehensive program to improve industrial safety, which resulted in a significant decrease in injuries. “The statistics of injuries in 2019 compared to 2016 confirm the success of the measures taken to improve safety systems at MMK,” said Alexey Beltyukov in during the forum. “Thus, the analytical indicator LTIFR (Lost Time Injury Frequency) accepted in international practice has been reduced by 15% over the specified period, and LTISR (severity of disability injuries) - by 44%.” The company widely implements modern automation and digitalization tools in the sphere of labor protection and industrial safety. Among the most innovative solutions is the digital incident management module, which collects and systematizes information about all incidents over ten years. The algorithm of the program is based on the principles of artificial intelligence (AI) and has no analogues at Russian metallurgical enterprises. Since 2018, MMK has been operating a training ground, unique on a national scale, called the School of Safety. Here you can practice skills on how to work safely and efficiently in various conditions (for example, at height). Over the past year, the school has trained more than 4,000 workers. The company's strategic goal in the field of industrial safety and labor protection is to completely eliminate fatal accidents and achieve a leading position among the world's metallurgical companies in terms of key indicators in the field of labor and industrial safety. In 2017, MMK's actual labor protection costs amounted to RUB 2.2 billion; last year - about 2.5 billion rubles.
