Automobile scales are an integral part of most enterprises, on which it depends, including the production process of the enterprise. Timely maintenance of truck scales helps to significantly reduce possible repair costs.
To avoid serious repair costs, we recommend that you regularly carry out the following actions:
1. Regularly inspect the loading platform. The load receiving platform has a high metal consumption and is the most expensive part of truck scales. An external examination should not reveal corrosion, cracks, rust, deformation of the flooring and joints, as well as violations of the integrity of the supporting frame. Any of the above reasons - may indicate the presence of serious problems.
If such problems are detected at an early stage and their urgent solution, it will significantly save on possible repairs, up to replacing the flooring and part of the loading platform.
2. Regularly inspect the scale foundation. When examining the foundation, no cracks and chips, as well as cavities, should be found. Places with embedded parts must be clean.
3. Regularly inspect the gaps of the fenders. A common cause of distortion of readings are jammed truck scales. To avoid a malfunction, it should be remembered that the maximum distance between the mortgage and the strikers should not exceed 8 mm.
4. Regularly clean the area under the balance. Garbage can fall off during weighing, get in with rain and strong winds. The presence of debris can affect the performance of load cells and distort weighing readings, as well as lead to rapid wear of protective rubber coatings. If the copper wires in the load cell cables are exposed to water, corrosion may occur, which will reduce the strength of the output signal.
5. It is necessary to constantly control the movement of freight transport during weighing. The recommended speed limit when entering the truck scales is 5km/h. That allows to reduce shock loadings on the equipment and to prolong its service life.
6. Check the summing box regularly. One common problem in weight readings is condensation and corrosion on terminal connections and other components. To avoid further repairs, it is necessary to dry the box and carefully seal it.
7. Regularly inspect the cables and grounding of truck scales. Often the cables of truck scales are damaged due to rodents. In other cases, wear, rupture or squeezing may occur.
If one of the possible problems has been identified, it means that your car scales do not show the exact weight when weighing.
