The complex consists of an arc steelmaking furnace (DSP-40), a continuous casting machine and a complex equipment for secondary steel processing. It is equipped with high-tech water and gas treatment systems that capture and purify emissions in accordance with the most stringent standards. The capacity of the complex is 300 thousand tons of cast billets per year.
During the repair, elements of metal structures were restored, worn parts and mechanisms were replaced, power and hydraulic systems were restored, the control systems were optimally tuned, and a complex of preventive work was performed. This will ensure trouble-free operation of the complex during the overhaul period and the implementation of the production program for steel casting.
“The state of the DSP-40 steelmaking complex largely determines the operation of the entire Izhstal plant, since it produces more than 80% of the steel smelted by the plant and provides our rolling mills with billets, "said Alexey Giss, Chief Engineer of Izhstal PJSC.
