The Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) announced the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies for working with technical documentation and recording production data at the IT in Industry conference organized by the TAdviser portal in Moscow. The report "Modern AI technologies in industry. Development Trends" was presented by Alexander Lunev, Head of the TMK++ Digital Technology Center, the company's own IT department.
TMK uses solutions based on generative artificial intelligence and large language models (LLM) along with actively used methods of predictive analytics, machine learning and machine vision. LLM technology is the basis of a new software product that the company is creating for operational work with technical documentation. With data on TMK's regulatory and technical documents, it will significantly speed up the processing of requests from internal and external customers and increase the responsiveness of responses.
The workshops use transcription technologies that filter out production noise when processing incoming sound and minimize errors in electronic logging at production sites. Also, sound recognition and technologies of large language models and generative AI are included in the toolkit of the corporate chatbot TeMKa, which is actively used by the company's employees through the intranet portal.
