The Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) and the Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant (ChelPipe), which is part of it, received letters of appreciation for partnership with Chelyabinsk schools, which became winners of the regional competition with international participation "Engineering Personnel of Russia" ("ICARUS").
The "Strizhi" and "Engineers of the Future" teams of Lyceum No. 77 won in the "Project Protection" and "Project complexity" categories, respectively, and the "Lego-CHTPZ" team of secondary school No.46 named after Z.
A. Kosmodemyanskaya took the third place in the overall standings. Following the results of the competition, the organizers noted the outstanding contribution of ChelPipe, as well as TMK Techservice and TMK Pipeline Solutions (TMK TR) companies to the development of engineering and technical education, career guidance and training of future highly qualified personnel through active partnership with the participating teams.
"TMK enterprises carry out systematic career guidance in various areas, which includes both the implementation of their own projects and the support of partner initiatives. Participation in such contests as Engineering Personnel of Russia allows students to get to know enterprises better, understand the specifics of engineering professions, demonstrate their own knowledge and skills and implement interesting projects," said Elizaveta Bolgova, Executive Director of TMK2U Corporate University.
The All-Russian career Guidance technology competition with international participation "Engineering Personnel of Russia" is organized by the Association of Workers and Organizations using Educational Robotics Designers in the educational process (RAOR) and the House of Youth Technical Creativity of the Chelyabinsk region. It has been held since 2014 and aims to create conditions for career guidance for students to master engineering specialties and prerequisites for their acquisition of modern professional competencies. More than 100 teams participated in the regional stage of the competition in 2025, the best of which will compete at the national level.
