In the workshop for the production of powder products of JSC Uralelectromed (an enterprise of the metallurgical complex of UMMC), the installation supervision of a powerful press of the Turkish company Hidroliskan has begun. Its effort is 1000 tons, which is comparable to the weight of 200 elephants.
According to the head of the workshop, Vladimir Kazansky, the equipment will expand the technological capabilities of the workshop and increase production. In particular, it is purposeful to engage in the manufacture of collector plates for various traction electric motors of railway locomotives, as well as contact terminals of complex configuration.
The powerful unit was delivered to Verkhnyaya Pyshma from Turkey by trawl. The installation supervision is attended by specialists from the centralized repair shop and the shop for the production of powder products. Previously, a large-scale work was done at the enterprise - design documentation and a project for organizing work at all stages of installation were developed, foundations were made and a construction site was prepared.
Currently, with the help of specialized equipment, the press is installed at the workplace. Now debugging of the hydraulic station, electrical circuits is being carried out and the software is being launched.
Recall that JSC Uralelectromed is the largest Russian manufacturer of copper-based products by powder metallurgy. The production of high precision sintered powder products has existed since 1993. The main products are electrical (including silver-plated) and copper-based antifriction products (electrical contacts and busbars, short-circuiting rings, bronze bushings and bearings). During its operation, the workshop has mastered more than 1000 types of copper-based products. At present, the range of mass-produced products exceeds 350 items made according to customer drawings.
