In the centralized repair shop of JSC Uralelectromed (an enterprise of the UMMC metallurgical complex), the repair time for trolleys intended for transporting blister copper, copper anodes and cathodes has been reduced by a third. Aleksey Bychkov, the head of the centralized repair shop, the reduction of repair hours was achieved due to optimal work planning, analysis of bottlenecks in the rolling stock, timely production and delivery of spare parts. - We always try to work ahead of schedule and timely replace worn parts of trolleys. The most vulnerable are wheels, bogies, bearings and frame. Typical defects: wear of rubbing surfaces, deformations and chips of metal parts, violation of the geometry of the metal structure, he noted. On the territory of the industrial site, trolleys with a carrying capacity of 8, 10 and 16 tons are used. Interdepartmental transport is managed by the compilers of the railway shop. In the event of a breakdown of mobile units, railway workers contact the repair service of the centralized repair shop, which promptly carry out delivery using forklifts to the repair site. Every two weeks, a batch of trolleys from 5 to 10 units comes to the shop. - We make spare parts on our own using our own drawings. Undercarriage components (rings, plugs, covers, etc.) - at the machine site. We carry out restoration of worn-out wheels (surfacing and machining) on ​​site - also on our own. We order the bearings from the supply department. New frame parts (corners, kerchiefs) to replace worn-out ones are carried out by electric and gas welders at two posts for the production of gas-flame works, - said equipment repairman Vitaly Kivenko. Note that the interdepartmental transport of the railway workshop consists of 5 diesel locomotives, 315 trolleys. The length of the narrow gauge track is 11.3 km - these are the connecting tracks between the raw material warehouse, copper smelting shop, copper electrolysis shop, copper rod production and finished products warehouse. About 1.5 million tons of cargo are transported annually on interdepartmental transport.
