Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) took the first place in the annual competition"Project of the Year" by the professional community of digital transformation leaders Global CIO. The project of implementing a fully domestic corporate MDM master data management system "Harmony" was recognized by experts as the best in the "Data Management as an asset" nomination.
The jury noted the scale of the project, the optimality of the proposed solution, as well as the importance of its implementation for both the company and the IT industry as a whole. The main goal of implementing the Harmony MDM system at TMK is to create a centralized source of master data, key business reference information that is used by all company systems, and to improve the quality and consistency of corporate directories based on Russian software.
More than 2 thousand users work in a single MDM platform, which allows centralized data management and elimination of duplication. About 10,000 requests for creating and modifying records are processed monthly in the system, and the increase in directories exceeds 4,000 records.
The solution has already been implemented at 11 enterprises of the company. The project is implemented by the TMK++ corporate IT cluster, which develops, implements and supports automation systems for production and business processes of any volume and complexity.
"The implementation of the Harmony MDM system has become an important stage in the development of TMK's digital infrastructure. The project made it possible to bring the manageability and quality of information to a new level, facilitated the work of employees and significantly reduced the processing time of applications. It is also important to note the project as an example of successful implementation of domestic software solutions. Relying on our Russian partner, we can engage in further development with less risk: in the future, the system will ensure seamless integration of new projects and allow us to build consolidated data management processes throughout the company," said Dmitry Yakob, TMK's Deputy General Director for Information Technology.
The Global CIO professional IT community's "Project of the Year" competition was held for the 14th time. In 2025, 630 projects participated in it. TMK was awarded in this competition in 2020 for the UniPlatform workshop and auxiliary level accounting platform, in 2021 for a project to organize cloud workplaces for remote work of employees, in 2023 for the automation of service management processes and the introduction of a modern authentication system (TMK ID).
