ESAB is expanding its range of industrial welding solutions for the sharply continental climate of Central Asia: a large range of winter and summer temperatures. In 2025, the company released a 500DP inverter source for pulse welding of carbon and stainless steels, as well as aluminum alloys. In 2026— the Transmig 500H is a more versatile option for welding carbon steel in a protective gas environment.
"ESAB's new products are designed to solve industrial problems in harsh environments, from mining enterprises to construction, mechanical engineering and maintenance of machinery. The equipment meets high international standards, is reliable and efficient. It works flawlessly both in the field and in stationary production facilities, increasing the efficiency of processes," says Ekaterina Tatarinova, Director of ESAB Kazakhstan LLP, Head of the ESAB Central Asia region.
In Kazakhstan's key industries — construction, oil and gas and mining, mechanical engineering and agriculture — carbon steel remains the dominant structural material. Its application is also fixed in the current state standards of Kazakhstan for standard structures. The Transmig 500H conforms to industry specifics: the device is designed for welding carbon steels with solid powder wire in an environment of protective gases, including carbon dioxide.
The welding machine has synergetic settings, which make it easier for beginners to select welding modes. Traditional solutions require manual adjustment of many parameters. Here, the operator adjusts only one of them — the feed rate. The device automatically calculates the current and voltage based on the specified operating conditions. The necessary ratios are “pulled up” from the device's internal memory: the system takes into account the type and diameter of the wire, the type of protective gas. This helps to minimize errors when choosing welding modes.
Additionally, the Transmig 500H is equipped with a liquid flow sensor in the liquid cooling unit. If the flow is disrupted, for example, if the circulation stops or there is insufficient pressure, the device issues a warning and suspends operation. This protects the welding torch and the hoses connected to it from overheating and melting.
The implementation of such control in production avoids costly damage to equipment, downtime, and component replacement costs.
In construction, the Transmig 500H is applicable in the manufacture and installation of metal structures for various purposes. In bridge construction, it provides the connection of load—bearing structural elements, and in the field of road construction and automotive engineering, it is used in the production of new excavators, rollers, car towers and their repair, where stable operation of equipment is required in conditions of intensive
