The first quarter of this year, the collective of the Kuzbassrazrezugol Management Company has worked in a stable mode with a slight overfulfillment of the production target and growth compared to the same period last year in all key indicators.
For three months at the enterprises of Kuzbassrazrezugol more than 11.5 million tons of coal were produced (including coking coal - almost 1.4 million tons), which is 1.7% more than in the first quarter of 2018. The result in terms of total stripping volume amounted to 91.4 million m3 of rock mass (an increase of almost 10% by 2018).
11 million tons of products were shipped to consumers, which is 460 thousand tons (4.3%) more than in the same period last year. The supply of coal for export, as planned, accounted for two thirds of the total supply of the Kuzbassrazrezugol Management Company: 7.4 million tons of coal were supplied to foreign consumers, 3.6 million tons of coal to the domestic market.
Since the beginning of the year, the Company's units and concentration plants have processed 10 million tons of coal. The share of refining in the company's total production remains at 87%.
In the current year, Kuzbassrazrezugol Management Company plans to increase production to 50 million tons of coal. The main instruments of growth will be technical re-equipment and productivity growth, taking into account the reduction of environmental impact. The main growth in 2019 should be provided by the Taldinsky Coal Mine branch.
“Reserves of 1 billion tons of coal, favorable mining and geological conditions, the possibility of a rapid expansion of the mining front allow this year to increase the production of the enterprise by 20 %, - says Stanislav Matva, Technical Director of Kuzbassrazrezugol Management Company. “There is an opportunity to install new high-performance equipment at the open-pit mine, create new horizons, transport coal to loading stations, and from them to the Russian Railways network.”
