NLMK Group, an international metallurgical company, received a gold prize at the Step Two Intranet and Digital Workplace Awards 2021 for the development of a mobile application that improves the efficiency of intra-corporate communications and the convenience of corporate services for employees.
The mobile application is integrated with a corporate intranet portal and provides employees with access to all necessary services, such as a news feed, managing vacation requests and submitting applications to the bank of ideas, issuing personal protective equipment, instant fixing of violations of safety rules and others. The functionality of the application is constantly being improved with the addition of new services based on the results of the analysis of employee requests.
The competition jury highly appreciated the focus on the internal client and the creation of conditions for prompt and convenient access to automated services. In terms of the functionality of the application, the jury especially highlighted innovative solutions, for example, a mobile pass and video registration of production security violations.
The application was launched in March 2020. Currently, it is used by about 30 thousand people (60% of NLMK Group employees).
