"Uralmekhanobr" tested a sprayed concrete lining for the underground mine Uzelginskoje

JSC "uralmekhanobr" (scientific-research and design Institute UMMC) jointly with JSC "Uchalinskiy GOK" (enterprise resource complex UMMC) tested the selection of the sprayed concrete lining of mine workings for mine "Uzelginsky" copper-zinc pyrite ores (SMT. Item Verkhneuralsk district of Chelyabinsk region).
Decision about the selection of ready mix was made in connection with the fact that underground development of deposits left on the mark, where there are many weakly stable species, respectively, increased demands on bracing for excavations and the reliability of bolting.
– in order to choose the right price and quality mix is ready, we first analyzed the results of laboratory and pilot tests of a number of manufacturers of ready mixes for dry shotcrete, – said the Deputy head of the Department of mining science, OAO "uralmekhanobr" Alex kitten. – Evaluated the strength characteristics of samples for compression and tension during bending, their compliance with regulations.
In the first stage the tests were carried out in the laboratory of backfilling operations "Uralmekhanobr", and then a limited batch of ready mixes selected producers were tested under semi-industrial tests in the conditions of the underground mine.
conducting full-scale industrial tests on-site underground mine "Uzelginsky" took about four months. During this time, miners used about 1.5 tonnes of ready mix. All was fixed more than 14 thousand square meters of workings.
the result of the conducted pilot tests, the sprayed concrete lining (manufacturer LLC "BAU-Service") confirmed the data obtained in the laboratory and can be used as a mine support in a weakly stable rocks in mines with abundant capiam through a quick excavation of workings in terms of critical capital mines with a long life. It will provide a good level of technology application and operational characteristics.
