& bsp; & bsp; On May 18, the reconstruction of the first pioneer smelting will take place at OJSC “BMZ” - the managing company of the “BMK” holding. Schoolchildren from different regions of Belarus will take part in the event dedicated to the 35th anniversary of BMZ and the Day of Pioneer Friendship.
As part of the reconstruction of the events of 33 years ago, a solemn meeting will be held at the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant. It will bring together over 200 representatives of the pioneer movement, including delegates who have been honored to represent various regions of the country at the event. These are about 20 of the most active members of the BRPO, who will have a unique opportunity to follow the entire technological process of steel smelting and communicate with representatives of rare metallurgical professions. Dressed in steel cloths and helmets, after the solemn meeting the pioneers will accompany the cars loaded with scrap metal to the steel-making shop No.1. Here schoolchildren will visit the control panel of the electric arc furnace and the steel casting section. After that, the children will have a tour of the workshops of BMZ, during which they will see with their own eyes the whole process of production of Belarusian metal products, known in more than hundreds of different countries of the world.
& bsp; & bsp; During the event, a solemn ceremony of admission to the ranks of the pioneers of new members of the PA “Belarusian Republican Pioneer Organization” is also planned.
& bsp; & bsp; At BMZ they expect that the reconstruction of the pioneer smelting will allow not only to draw the attention of the younger generation to the good traditions of patriotic education of young people, but also to the issues of using secondary raw materials. By the way, annually in the shops of BMZ, about three million tons of scrap metal are received a second life, which are processed into construction fittings, hot-rolled pipes, metal cord, etc.
& bsp; & bsp; The first pioneer smelting took place at BMZ on May 18, 1986. It became a republican event, which brought together hundreds of children from different parts of the country at the plant. It was preceded by a competition to collect scrap metal, the winners of which took part in the ceremony.
