the metallurgical plant of JSC "Svyatogor" (enterprise of metallurgical complex of UMMC) installed a new jaw crusher, acquisition costs of which amounted to 4.6 million rubles.
Unit SMD-110 replaced the same equipment that has been in operation since 2004. With jaw crushers in the workshop preparing materials needed for kilns and BOF offices.
"the Distinguishing feature of the new machine is a mechanized device to adjust the width of the output gap, - said the Deputy chief of the metallurgical plant for the equipment of JSC "Svyatogor" Alexey Feoktistov. – This will allow staff to quickly and safely vary the fraction of the finished material – from 60 to 140 mm, depending on the needs of production."
New jaw crusher capacity 75 m3/h was acquired through the plan to replace and upgrade obsolete equipment. Installation 19-ton unit was produced without the involvement of contractors and took 11 days. At this period the supply of materials in a technological process was organized in a different area, thus ensuring the smooth operation of the offices of the metallurgical shop.
