Kolchuginsky "Elektrokabel" (part of the Cable Alliance Holding, which unites the cable assets of UMMC) has installed a new 16-ton overhead crane in the workshop for the production of cables for large power engineering. The cost of the lifting mechanism exceeds 7 million rubles.
Another such crane has been operating in this workshop since its foundation - for 16 years. With its help, the drums with the cable are moved from the production lines to the site for the delivery of finished products.
“Due to the increase in production, the load on it has increased. To deliver the products on time, without delays, it was necessary to purchase a second crane. Now we will be able to expand the number of operations: from supplying materials to the line to sending finished products for testing, "said Mikhail Lisov, head of workshop No. 3 at EKZ.
The new crane has advantages. For example, a more spacious cabin, designed for two people, will allow training new crane operators directly in the workshop. In addition, it is easier to operate the new mechanism.
The acquisition of a new crane is another step in the implementation of the program to expand the production of medium and high voltage cables to 110 kV. In the near future, the second inclined cable insulation line will be installed in workshop No. 3. Investments in new equipment will exceed 320 million rubles.
“The range of products manufactured in the workshop has increased, the cable construction steel is more complex and diversified. Therefore, it became necessary to develop and in the coming years to implement a project for a large-scale modernization of production. New machines, lines, and various related devices will be purchased. This will increase the volume of production by almost one and a half times ", - said the director of JSC" EKZ "Evgeny Sukhodoev.
