Kolchuginsky "Elektrokabel" (part of the "Cable Alliance Holding", which unites the cable assets of UMMC) has acquired a new system for measuring the parameters of communication and control cables, signal-blocking cables. The cost of the equipment amounted to about 6 million rubles.
The new device will be operated in workshop No. 4 at the testing station of the technical control department during the delivery and acceptance of finished products. With its help, specialists will measure primary (determining the safety and durability of cables during operation) and secondary (determining the quality of communication) parameters. The primary ones are the electrical resistance of current-carrying conductors, insulation resistance, and electrical strength. The secondary ones are transient attenuation, working capacity in the working pair and capacitive coupling from pair to pair.
“The new automated control system will replace an obsolete device. It is more powerful, therefore, we will be able to increase the number of tests per unit of time. This, in turn, will reduce the production time of products - from the moment the order is accepted to shipment, "said Pavel Nikolaev, chief engineer of EKZ JSC.
A workshop for the production of communication cables was created at Elektrokabel in 2000 ... A closed technological chain was created in it: from insulating conductive cables to testing 100% of pairs of finished cables. All equipment is equipped with devices for automatic control of technological parameters, with the help of which the parameters of the technological process are constantly monitored.
“Detailed and thorough quality control of both materials entering production and finished products is an axiom for us. Therefore, we invest significant funds not only in the modernization of production equipment, but also in the renovation and improvement of the testing facilities of the plant. Only in this way will we be able to guarantee the accuracy of measurements and the production of a quality product ", - stressed the director of JSC" EKZ "Vladimir Ivanov.
