The second line of the Kazan metro will include 12 stations. It will connect 5 districts of the city and will cover micro-districts with the highest passenger flows and an acute shortage of public transport. The new line will be about 20 kilometers long. In the future, it can be extended.
The hot-rolled beam supplied for the construction of the metro was manufactured at a modern rail and structural mill of the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Combine. The beam at Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant is cast from its own raw materials: steel for it is smelted at the plant in the oxygen-converter shop, and then cast on a continuous casting machine. These products are used in the construction of bridges, roads, office buildings, supplied to customers both in Russia and abroad.
