The ChMK exposition will feature 15 types of products. These are products of the mill's rail and structural mill: various types of rails, I-beams, channels, as well as Z-shaped profiles.
Many types of products are already successfully used in large projects throughout Russia. For example, in early June, the rails made at ChMK were shipped for the reconstruction of the Moscow metro and the construction of the so-called "velvet" rails with almost silent movement. ChMK rails are manufactured using polymer solution quenching technology, which is unique for Russia. Thanks to this, the products have a high level of strength and wear resistance.
The Z-shaped profile was mastered by Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant in 2018 and is supplied to leading enterprises of the car-building and car-repair industry in Russia and the CIS countries. It is used to manufacture the backbone for the base of wagons and gondola cars. The Z-310 profile is made from two grades of extra-strong steel, which guarantees resistance to stress.
The I-beam, produced at Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant, is currently used for the construction of the second metro line in Kazan. It is cast from its own raw materials: steel for it is smelted at the plant in the oxygen-converter shop, and then poured on a continuous casting machine. These products are used in the construction of bridges, roads, office buildings and are supplied to customers both in Russia and abroad.
ChMK's rail and structural steel mill is a modern integrated production of high-quality structural shapes and rails up to 100 meters long. The mill uses the latest global developments in the field of rolling, straightening, finishing and quality control of rolled products.
