Kolchuginsky "Elektrokabel" (part of the "Cable Alliance Holding", which unites the cable assets of UMMC) in the first half of 2019 invested more than 25 million rubles in the restoration of sanitary facilities of workshops the main production.
Currently, overhaul is being carried out in the locker rooms, showers and toilets located in workshops No. 2, 5 and 4. The contractor is already completing the finishing of the premises and will begin the installation of sanitary equipment in the near future. The locker rooms will have ergonomic lockers for storing workers' clothes, a modern ventilation system and energy-saving lamps.
- These are the oldest workshops, which is why we started with them. For example, workshop No. 5 was built in 1905, workshop No. 2 in 1968. Of course, repairs were carried out earlier, but now it has been decided to completely modernize the premises, - said Pavel Nikolayev, chief engineer of EKZ JSC.
The plans of the company are to repair changing rooms, showers and sanitary rooms in all production and administrative buildings of Elektrokabel.
In addition, in the near future, the plant will begin work on replacing the asphalt surface of the territory, repairing and updating the facades and internal premises of industrial and office buildings. It is also planned to replace wooden window frames with modern plastic ones. About 20 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes. Factory services and contractors plan to complete all repair work by early July.
- In 2019, Elektrokabel turns 80 years old. If in 2018 we focused on the global modernization of production, then this year we focused on the modernization of buildings and premises. It is important for us how the plant looks, and even more important, in what conditions people work. Many people spend more time at work than at home, so it is necessary to create the most comfortable conditions, - said the director of JSC "EKZ" Vladimir Ivanov.
