Each wire is three times thinner than a human hair. Such a high density allows the fuel to be purified from the smallest impurities, "explained Andrey Anisimov, head of the metal mesh workshop at EKZ JSC.
The metal weaving production was organized at the Kolchuginsky plant in 1922, when, by decision of the Supreme Council of National Economy, 13 metal looms of the liquidated Moscow factory of Glavbumprom. The plant began to produce nets for the paper industry.
In 1948, the plant launched a full-scale production of nets from the finest nickel wire, previously not produced in the USSR. Unique products were required for the development of the nuclear industry.
