Today, on the site of the site at the pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Metallurgov Highway and Degtyarev Street, the ground was leveled, stumps were uprooted, communications are being studied and the territory is being redeveloped. It is planned to lay paths and borders of two-color tiles in the park. According to the project, linden trees will be planted here in addition to the existing trees, benches and curly lanterns will be installed. The area between the paths will be decorated with lawns. The square and the sidewalk opposite will make it barrier-free for the convenience of movement of people with disabilities and comfortable walks with baby carriages.
ChMK came up with an initiative to improve the park in 2018. At the same time, a project competition was held, in which everyone participated. Based on the results, the best was chosen, on the basis of which the improvement is being carried out today. The Metallurgov Square on the highway of the same name will appear in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant, which the company celebrated last year.
