The Road Home Charitable Foundation of Severstal was included in the list of winners of the competition for projects of non-profit organizations as part of the Good New Year's Gift program-action of the Contribution to the Future Charitable Foundation of Sberbank.
Grant funds in the amount of 446 thousand rubles was received by the project "Workshop miracles" of the charitable foundation "The Way Home". Within the framework of the project in Cherepovets, a system of creative rehabilitation of children and adolescents with mental disabilities will be developed and tested through training in the craft of making souvenirs.
Classes, both full-time and remotely, will be held at the complex center of social services for the population of the city of Cherepovets and Cherepovets district "Care".
In addition, information meetings will be organized with representatives of the Education Department of Cherepovets and educational institutions to get acquainted with the activities of the project and identify groups of children with mental disabilities. The same meetings will be held with representatives of the Cherepovets State University for identifying tutors from among students of the Department of Defectology. Volunteer employees of Severstal and Sberbank will have the opportunity to join the lessons with children as volunteers.
