The Polymetal Production (PPM) branch of Uralelectromed JSC (an enterprise of the UMMC metallurgical complex) is building a second storm water storage tank, which will collect storm water and industrial wastewater. It is planned to allocate about 70 million rubles for the implementation of the project.
- Construction of the storm water collection complex is aimed at improving the environmental situation and rational use of the branch's water resources. The effluent will be pumped to the neutralization station, purified and reused in production, - emphasized the head of the capital construction department of the PPM Evgeny Lavrov.
The second rainwater storage tank is a monolithic reinforced concrete tank measuring 19 by 26 meters and a maximum depth of 6.6 meters. At this stage, the contractor has completed the excavation and completed the installation of bored piles. This year, it is planned to lay technical pipelines, install pumping equipment, automation and power supply systems.
Completely complete the construction of the entire industrial stormwater drainage system of the branch, consisting of six storm accumulators, is planned in 2024.
Note that the project is being implemented within the framework of an agreement between Uralelectromed JSC and the government of the Sverdlovsk region to improve the environmental situation in the area of the enterprise's location in Kirovgrad.
