ESAB took part in the VI annual AtomSkills Industry Championship, which was held in full-time format in Yekaterinburg from August 11 to 16, 2021. Participants and experts from 16 divisions of Rosatom who successfully passed the divisional qualifying stages met at the championship site.
Traditionally, the company has supported the professional competence of "Welding Technologies". In total, 37 competencies were presented at the site of the industrial championship.
This year, ESAB provided participants with equipment that is best suited for educational organizations and meets all the requirements of WorldSkills. Thus, all 15 posts of competence were equipped with semi-automatic machines and devices for argon arc welding. Unlike the previous participating models, the devices are more compact and better suited for use in competitions.
This year, representatives of ESAB took part in a project session to discuss issues of interaction between secondary vocational education organizations and nuclear industry enterprises.

ESAB has been supporting the AtomSkills Championship for several years, as it is one of the key platforms for the exchange of professional knowledge between the best representatives of the profession working at Rosatom enterprises, as well as a tool for selecting and training personnel in industry," said Stanislav Konov, head of the ESAB Department for Interaction with educational organizations.
The AtomSkills Championship is the largest international industry event from the Rosatom State Corporation, which unites schoolchildren, students, young specialists and experts of the nuclear industry and is held according to the WorldSkills methodology.
