NLMK Group, an international metallurgical company, has begun a large-scale environmental modernization of the air purification system at the Stoilensky GOK concentrator. The implementation of the project will allow 10 times to reduce the concentration of dust in the air of the working area and 2 times the gross emission of dust into the atmosphere. The volume of investments in the project will amount to about 700 million rubles. It is planned to complete all work by the end of 2021.
The modernization of the aspiration system involves the replacement of dust collectors, smoke exhausters and air ducts, the installation of additional ventilation systems, the installation of an irrigation system on receiving bins and other related infrastructure for air purification. The project solutions correspond to the best available technologies.
The project to modernize the aspiration system is being implemented as part of NLMK Group's environmental program, which is aimed at further minimizing the impact on the environment.
In 2021, Stoilensky GOK A project is also being implemented that will reduce the formation of dust at the tailing dump by 70% - the territory where waste rock is stored after ore processing.
