PAO Severstal, one of the world's largest vertically integrated steel and mining companies, has delivered 6,000 tonnes of large diameter pipes (LDP) to South America, to the Republic of Peru.
LDP were produced at Izhora Pipe plant (ITZ, part of the Severstal Russian Steel division of PJSC Severstal), located at the production site in the Kolpinsky district of St. Petersburg, according to the API 5L PSL 1 standard.
This is the second order this year to the republic Peru. In the spring of this year, the Izhora Pipe Plant delivered a trial batch of pipes, and now it has reached a volume of six thousand tons.
LDP was delivered to South America through the port of St. Petersburg to the port of Ilo in Peru.
For pipe production Severstal uses its own rolled metal, which is produced by the company's 5000 sheet rolling mill located at the same industrial site with the ITZ in the Kolpinsky district of St. Petersburg.
Severstal is significantly expanding the geography of export sales of large diameter pipes. Today it includes deliveries to Europe, North America, the Middle East and North Africa. South America became one of the new directions. Customers choose Severstal because, thanks to its own steel-making and rolling facilities, the company is able to fulfill orders fairly quickly and guarantee high quality products. An additional competitive advantage is the service that we provide to support the delivery, for example, we inform the client about the status of production and delivery at all stages, "said Alexander Semenov, Sales Director for energy companies at Severstal.
