Metalworking

Any product made of metal has its own technical characteristics. Additional heat treatment improves them. Allows to cope with increased loads during operation.

Methods for processing steel parts

In order to get the necessary part from a piece of iron, the workpiece must be correctly processed. High-quality metalworking of parts preserves all the important characteristics of a metal alloy without damaging its base. It is enough to slightly overheat the workpiece, and it will no longer have the required physical dimensions and required performance.

Classic machining

Intervention in the structure of a part using a manual or automatic tool is mechanical processing. By removing the base, the parts can be given the desired shape. Drilling, shearing and other types of impact on steel must be verified. It is worth adding to the main features of machining:

    • classic turning:
    • more complex on a milling machine;
    • jig boring and screw-cutting turning operations;
    • gear hobbing;
    • other types of mechanical impact on metal.

Special equipment and tools cut off excess metal from the workpiece, leaving it only in those places that are necessary for the future part. The main thing in machining is not to overheat the metal base and not remove too much steel. Otherwise, the workpiece will be defective and the part will have to be redone.

Heat treatment

A manufactured part does not always have sufficient strength to effectively resist all negative factors in the process of daily work. In order to achieve a stronger steel structure, the finished product can be additionally hardened at a certain temperature. Thanks to heat treatment, the finished product acquires the following properties:

    1. Increased structure hardness along the entire depth.
    2. Excellent resistance to shattering when hit hard.
    3. Minimal adverse effects of corrosion.
    4. Long life of the part under different operating conditions.

Any product made of metal has its own technical characteristics. Additional heat treatment improves them. Allows to cope with increased loads during operation. High-quality metalworking products are produced only on modern equipment in compliance with all technical conditions. It is impossible to achieve high results using only old metal processing technologies.
