What types of roller tables exist
In the field of cargo transportation, the device is especially successfully used in practice. Depending on specific purposes, the consumer has the opportunity to choose one of several types of mechanical devices. All available devices are divided into several types, depending on the functionality:
- Roller - the most versatile and widely used.
- Lifting is the optimal device for moving loads of various shapes and weights.
- Rotary is an additional element that ensures the transfer of goods from one roller table to another.
- Bonovy is a highly specialized device for vessels and ships.
The industry produces both stationary structures and mobile devices. They can transport loads on a horizontal or inclined surface. The presence of special guides helps to ensure the safety of the cargo during its transportation on rollers.
Other design features
The simplest roller conveyor has only a metal frame and rollers that easily rotate on axles. To increase efficiency and reduce friction, the best products are equipped with ball or roller bearings. But in order to ensure controlled movement of the load horizontally or with a slope, a drive is used:
- a sufficiently powerful and reliable electric drive motor;
- allowable distance between the rollers so as not to damage the load ;
- the design is able to withstand constant physical stress;
- ease of maintenance;
- drive on all rollers, or only on the guide elements.
The roller structure can be controlled automatically, or by a separately activated drive mechanism. In the first case, it is possible to achieve higher rates of saving electrical energy and extend the life of the mechanical parts of the roller table.
