During 2023, the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant plans to smelt 2.3 million tons of steel, which is 15% more than 2 million tons in 2022.
“Summing up the work for eight months of the current year, we note an increase in the production of marketable products. Steel production increased by 20%, rolled products by 22%, and pipes by 11%. As a result, the IFO rate was 117%. As for hardware products, there has been a reorientation of production - the production of bead and other types of wire has increased.
.. Work with logistics centers continues. Transport costs have increased. This is a significant block of costs, which specialists are constantly working to optimize.
By the end of the year, it is planned to smelt 2.3 million tons of steel, the IFR will remain at the level of 112%. If 2023 was dedicated to the search for alternative suppliers and consumers, then the next year will be marked by cost optimization in order to increase production profitability,” the metallurgical company said in a statement.
