Sev.en Global Investments, an investment group based in the Czech Republic (Sev.en GI), announced the successful completion of the acquisition of subsidiaries of the Spanish long products manufacturer Celsa Group with headquarters in the UK and Scandinavia, having reached an agreement with Celsa Group back in November 2024.
As part of the acquisition, Celsa Nordic will be renamed 7 Steel Nordic, and Celsa Steel UK will be renamed 7 Steel UK, which will be combined under the 7 Steel roof. The combined capacity of both steel plants, which produce several types of products, including bars, profiles, mesh and wire, is 2 million tons per year. They serve various industries such as shipbuilding, railway industry and wind energy production.
Meanwhile, 7 Steel Nordic has smelting and rolling plants, and 7 Steel UK is the UK's leading producer of low-carbon construction steel and the largest scrap metal processor. Its fully integrated operations include scrap collection, steel production, four scrap yards, and 17 storage facilities.
In addition, Sev.en GI stated that this acquisition will allow it to strengthen its position and open up new opportunities, while supporting innovation and the transition to a green economy.
