the Largest steel company in the world ArcelorMittal has announced plans to deploy a new programme of sustainable development throughout Europe. The purpose of the program, according to the press service of the company is to ensure certification of all companies in the EU program ResponsibleSteel.

        Standard is based on 12 principles and a set of criteria and basic requirements. To obtain a certification ResponsibleSteel, each plant of the company will be subject to a rigorous third party verification and independent certification Committee will make the final decision on certification.

        the First wave of audit includes the enterprises of ArcelorMittal in Belgium, Germany, Spain and France, followed by others. After running in Europe the program will include other ArcelorMittal plants around the world.

        In 2020 ResponsibleSteel launch standard for certification of steel products, which will include strict requirements for the supply chain of raw materials. ArcelorMittal will continue to play an active role in the development of this aspect of the program, assured the press service.
