Eurostat: industrial production in the Eurozone decreased by 2.1%

In December 2019 compared to November 2019 seasonally adjusted industrial production decreased by 2.1%. This is stated in the message the European statistical office (Eurostat).

In November 2019, industrial production remained stable in the Euro area and the EU-27.

In December 2019 compared to December 2018, industrial production declined 4.1% in the Euro area and by 3.9% in the EU27.

Average industrial production for 2019 compared to the 2018 year fell 1.7% in the Euro area and by 1.1% in the EU27.

In December, the biggest drop of industrial production was observed in Ireland (-6,2%), Hungary (-3.8 per cent) and Poland (is 3.0%). The fastest promisleno manufacturing grew in Denmark (+ 7.2 per cent), Portugal (+ 2.9%) and Greece (+ 2.5 percent).

In General, for 2019, the largest decline in industrial production was observed in Estonia (-9,9%), Romania (-8,9%) and Germany (-7,2%). The largest increase was observed in Malta (+ 7.6 per cent), Portugal (+ 3.9 percent) and Poland (+ 1,3%).
