The European Commission has approved the acquisition by ArcelorMittal SA of full control over ArcelorMittal CLN Distribuzione Italia Srl (AMCLN), which has been jointly owned with CLN Group since 2015.

As noted, the agreement concerns the distribution of flat carbon rolled products in Italy. It was approved under a simplified merger review procedure after the European Commission concluded that the companies' limited market positions did not pose a threat to competition.
