During 2025, 1.09 million tons of flat metal were delivered to the Ukrainian market, which is 10.7% higher than in 2024. This is evidenced by GMK Center calculations based on data from the State Customs Service.

About 50% of imports account for flat rolled products with a coating (UKTVED 7210) – 532.8 thousand tons, which is 13.7% more than in 2015. The main suppliers of products in the specified period were Turkey – 256.67 thousand. Tons, Poland-59.98 thousand. Tons and Slovakia-50.86 thousand tons.

Another 31.6% of shipments or 344.28 thousand. Tons (+0.9% YoY) accounted for flat hot-rolled products (UKTVED 7208). The main source of product supplies was Turkey - 256.67 thousand tons. Another 57.84 thousand tons were imported from China and 6.55 thousand tons from Italy.

In an hour, 105.43 thousand were imported. Tons of flat cold-rolled products (UKTVED 7209), which is 32.9% more than in 2014. 70.78 thousand tons of products were imported from Turkey, 28.62 thousand tons from China, and 5.01 thousand tons from Slovakia.

During the fourth quarter, 256.45 thousand tons were imported to Ukraine. Tons of flat rolled products, which is 3.5% more than in the same period of 2024 and 7.8% less than in the previous quarter. This is the lowest quarterly figure last year.

In December, Ukrainian consumers imported 73.32 thousand. Tons of flat rolled products, which is 16.5% less YoY and 15.8% YoY. Shipments of coated flat rolled products amounted to 31.52 thousand tons (-25.4% YoY; -29.6% YoY), flat rolled products – 27.06 thousand tons (-19.8% YoY; +46.8% M/m), flat rolled products – 5.05 thousand tons (+10.5% YoY; -68.6% m/m).

At the end of the year, the cost of importing flat rolled products increased by 4.9% YoY, to $1.13 billion, and in December decreased by 13.1% YoY and 11.1% YoY, to $76.04 million.
