Localizing the production of underground loader buckets is another step in Sandvik's global aftermarket strategy. The solution will reduce the total cost of ownership of the equipment, while the delivery of localized components will be carried out more quickly.
The buckets are built to original Sandvik drawings and feature Shark GET anti-wear protection to ensure high productivity and retention of performance after a specified operating interval. Buckets have a long service life due to the use of original steels authorized by the manufacturer.
Each loader model has its own bucket size: 3.7 m3 for LH307, 4.6 m3 for LH410 and 5.4 m3 for LH514. The lead time was reduced by 30 percent and the final cost by 20 percent. The first two buckets produced in Russia were shipped to gold mining company Nordgold.
