On the night of February 19-20, at 4:15 am local time, at the Norilsk enrichment plant (owned by OOO Bear Ruchey), during repair work to strengthen the structure of the building, the building of the ore transfer point and the adjacent pedestrian galleries.
According to preliminary data, there could be six people under the rubble, employees of the contracting organization Norilsknickelremont LLC.
At the moment, four people have been removed from the rubble. One of them was seriously injured and died in hospital. The search continues for two more.

At the scene of the incident, the forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, employees of the paramilitary mountain rescue unit and the gas rescue service, more than 70 people in total, are working. 15 units of rescue equipment, excavators, bulldozers, truck cranes were attracted.

The Norilsk Concentrator continues to operate with restrictions related to the rescue operations.
