Mining company Ferrexpo, which controls Poltava and Eristovsky GOKs in Ukraine announced the appointment of Ms Ann-Christine Gjerdset Andersen as an Independent Non-Executive Director to the Board of Directors effective March 1, 2021 following an“ extensive process with using an external search agency ".
Ms Andersen is an engineer with over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, holding senior positions at ABB, Kongsberg Group and most recently at TechnipFMC (formerly FMC Technologies) where she served as Chief Digital Officer. Managing Director of TechnipFMC in Norway and also served as Senior Vice President and Vice President for Projects and Products during her tenure there. In 2019, she founded 4ADA AS, a strategic advisory service supporting start-ups in the renewable energy and circular economy sectors, and advised on policy changes in areas such as offshore wind, energy transition and industrial digitalization.
Since 2020, Ms Andersen has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Glitre Energi AS, a local state-owned company in Norway specializing in renewable energy and infrastructure. She is also a non-executive director of Maersk Drilling, an oil and gas firm, where she is also a member of the firm's safety and sustainability committee. In addition, Ms Andersen has served on the Board of Directors of Quantafuel since 2019 and Rotork Plc since 2018, holding positions at Rotork Plc on the Remuneration and Audit Committees and serving as Chair of the Environment, Social and Governance Committee.
According to Ferrexpo Chairman of the Board Lucio Genovese, Ann-Christine Andersen has extensive experience in the natural resources sector in both developed and emerging markets, and has extensive experience in organizing transformations.
