American iron and steel Institute (AISI) reported Tuesday, November 12 that in September 2019 U.S. steel mills shipped its customers 7,767 million tonnes of steel products, which is 8.3% less compared to 8,472 million tons shipped in the previous month.
Sale of steel products in the United States in September showed a decline in year-on-year by 0.6%.
For the nine months of shipment of metal products in the United States amounted to 72,578 million tons, 1.6% more compared to supply in the same period in 2018, components 71,469 million tons.
In AISI noted that the largest drop in sales observed in the segment of hot-rolled sheet steel (10%), galvanized steel and strips (9%), as well as in the segment of cold rolled steel (5%).
