Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday threatened retaliation U.S. if Washington will impose sanctions against the project of gas pipeline "Turkish stream".
"In the U.S. Senate say they will impose sanctions against the "Turkish stream". It is a violation of our rights. We will take retaliatory measures against them," - quoted Erdogan Turkish media.
Earlier this week, the U.S. Senate approved a draft defense budget for next year, including provision for sanctions in respect of the gas pipeline "Nord stream 2" and "Turkish stream".
In December, the budget bill for the year 2020 in the amount of 738 billion USD is also supported by the U.S. House of representatives.
