The production volumes of other alloy steel in ingots /other primary forms and semi-finished products from it increased by 2.1% versus January-October last year.

Stainless steel production in the Russian Federation for 10 months increased by 3.7%

According to the report of the Federal State Statistics Service "On the socio-economic situation in Russia", in October 2021, metallurgical enterprises of the Russian Federation produced 5.3 million tons of unalloyed steel in ingots or in other primary forms and semi-finished products from it. The growth of volumes year-on-year was 7.5%, against the previous month - 9.4%. In January-October, the figures increased on an annualized basis by 7% to 51.8 million tons.

The production of stainless steel in ingots /other primary forms and semi-finished products from it in October amounted to 17.7 thousand tons, which is 7.6% more on an annualized basis, but less by 14.4% compared to September. Over 10 months, metallurgists have improved performance in this segment by 3.7% compared to the same period in 2020.

The production volumes of other alloy steel in ingots /other primary forms and semi-finished products from it increased by 2.1% versus January-October last year. In October, the indicators increased on an annualized basis by 5.1% and by 2.5% against the previous month to 1.3 million tons.

In January-October 2021, Russian metallurgical enterprises produced 54.8 million tons of finished rolled products, which is 7.4% more on an annualized basis. In October, volumes increased by 11.2% on an annualized basis, compared to the previous month - by 6.3% to 5.8 million tons.
