The government of the Orenburg Region held a meeting on the topic of assistance to the enterprise in the supply of chromium-containing raw materials, said Dmitry Kulakov, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Energy of the Orenburg Region.
The management of NZHS JSC is negotiating with potential Russian suppliers of chromium ore, as well as with suppliers from Afghanistan and Iran, the ministry added.

Earlier it was reported that the owner of the plant intends to keep the company's staff, while the main production was suspended, the staff was transferred to other areas. "The management of NZHS JSC is constantly explaining to the team that the production shutdown is temporary, and there are no plans for staff layoffs and layoffs," Kulakov said.
According to him, in recent years, before the introduction of international sanctions by unfriendly foreign countries, the company demonstrated stable performance. Revenue for 2024 is estimated at 12 billion rubles.
