A new line of electrodes with a diameter of 750 mm was launched at the company's plant in Novocherkassk in October 2024, and the first industrial batch is now being prepared for shipment.

The new type of electrodes will also be included in the El 6 group's export portfolio, and their test delivery to a foreign customer will take place as early as September 2025.
According to the company's press service, which is referred to by Interfax, large graphite electrodes are needed for steel smelting in new-generation electric arc furnaces. They provide a greater ability to conduct current, withstand higher temperatures and reduce the melting time of steel.
As reported, in 2022, the El 6 Group completed the consolidation of assets on the basis of a single holding company in Moscow, LLC El 6. As a result, companies such as EPM-NovEZ JSC, EPM-NEZ JSC, EPM-CHAZ JSC and EPM-Management JSC ceased to exist as legal entities, and all their assets, rights and obligations were transferred to LLC"El 6". Corresponding regional branches were established in the Novosibirsk region, Novocherkassk and Chelyabinsk: "El 6 Novosibirsk", "El 6 Novocherkassk" and "El 6 Chelyabinsk".

"El 6" specializes in the production of carbon graphite products. The main activity is the production of high-tech electrode, cathode and other carbon graphite products for enterprises in the steel, aluminum, ferroalloy, silicon, chemical and machine-building industries. The company includes three production sites in Novosibirsk, Novocherkassk and Chelyabinsk.
