The upgrade will increase productivity by 180 tons of ore per hour and reduce the size of the finished product. This will increase the efficiency of the next processing plant, the enrichment plant, where the iron ore concentrate is produced.

The new cascade was designed and manufactured by a domestic company, Uralmashzavod. It consists of two more powerful cone crushers of medium and fine crushing, two screens and a power supply conveyor.

A special feature of the complex is the use of innovative banana type screens. Their screening surface consists of several sections with a gradually decreasing angle of inclination. This design ensures rapid movement of the material along the upper part of the deck and deceleration of the flow in the lower part for more efficient separation into fractions.

The cascade is equipped with a modern automated control system. In automatic mode, it regulates the speed of the conveyor, the size of the discharge slots, the operation of the oil systems, and in case of a malfunction, the system sends a signal to the operator.

The installed cascade has already become the fourth modern unit in the workshop of medium and fine crushing. The equipment is being updated as part of a large-scale enrichment plant development program aimed at increasing production volumes and efficiency.
