The concept of a production system is an integrated approach to process optimization that aims to reduce costs, eliminate losses, and increase labor productivity.

For example, at Izhstal, 10 main workshops and auxiliary units of the plant are involved in the process of improving the Production System. In 2025, about 1,100 proposals for improvements were submitted, and 825 proposals were implemented. This is 1.5 times higher than in 2024.
More than 670 production problems have been solved, which were recorded in the departments on the "Problem Solving Boards". Lean manufacturing tools such as fast changeover and step-by-step operation maps were effectively used.
The annual economic effect of the introduction of lean manufacturing tools at Izhstal exceeded 100 million rubles. Through the use of mechanization tools, suggestions for improvements and optimization of logistics, it was possible to increase labor productivity by 15,000 man-hours.
More than 900 employees were trained in basic knowledge of lean manufacturing and the use of basic tools to improve the production system.
