According to the representative of NLMK, already purchased the main production equipment, completed the preparation of project documentation, conducted the recruitment of staff.
Construction is set to begin in the second half of the year, and the plant is scheduled for the end of next year. The main parameters remained the same — investment will amount to 100-150 million dollars, capacity 65 tonnes of transformer steel per year.
First of NLMK plans to expand its presence in India became known in June 2019. The company already has a service center through which conducted the shipment of transformer steel. Now we have a 25-30% market share of India in this segment.
